i bought a set of new v treads for 300 dollars and the name on the tire says ngk
im grooving the so i can get ready for d&k
daes anyone know it this is a good tire or not?

there 8 ply and idk if their 23 degree but they are a really soft tire

i bought them last week for 300 new and ill get the number of that place i got them at
when i grove those tires do i need to cut all the way to the wires or leave some rubber over the wires

ask koko!!!! i cut my 8 plys all the way to the cords though, and it made a huge diff

does it hurt the tire if you snib the corsd some, i messed up and cut about a quarter inch of the cords

im sure its not good for em but dont worry i made the same mistake twice on mine :shock: :shock: but i havent had any trouble yet

did u use a little blade or something, i goin to get a3/4 blade to cut mine with

i started with a 1/4 and went to a half, i tried the 3/4 but it was a bit$$ to push so i stuck with the half inch

Heat the rubber with a hand torch before you cut it. also turn the blade around backwards so you can pull it. so much easier than pushing

Hmm! never thought about pulling the blade. Might be less chance of cutting the chords that way. Gonna try it on my spare set of Boggers.

Make your start of the pull slowly go till you feel it touch cords. then ease up a little and go. that will make it a ton faster....

ive hunted ngk tires, ngk flotation tire, ngk bar tread, and ngk v tread and have had nothing ngk come up but spark plugs :roll:

whatever they are there not gonna be a firestone tire,dont waste your money on anything else u wont be happy,denman ditch witch was about 120 a pcs,but they stil suck even if they are cheap
