I'm tickled you made it here numby,,,most of the stuff you mentioned is Greek to me,,, . But there are some real smart guys here that will understand. I also made an EGR block off plate but am a little concerned what the ecu will think of that,,, guess I will find out :?

haha, well, short version is. if you need more power, send your ECU off to ECUtune to have it reprogrammed. no need to re-wire almost anything.

you'll get a code, but it'll run just fine. just make sure that check engine light isn't visible from the driver's seat, cause it'll be on all the time :D

I know a guy in the process of putting twin turbos on his 3.3 (in a subaru) in a configuration very much like that.

Will the stock bottom end hold that much power?

drop turbo pistons in it to lower the compression ratio (same bore and rod design as the 2.2 4-cyl, so 2.2 turbo pistons drop right in, just need 6), and it's been pushed up in the 500awhp range. I've never seen one successfully twin turbo'd, but one big one, yea.

the guy I'm working with (I did the wiring) is doing a complete build though, reinforcing the block, blueprinting and balancing the whole assembly to 10k rpms, couple good sized turbo's with intakes right behind the headlights (remove the lights for track days). he's shooting for the 8-900awhp range

when you think about it, the 2.2 4-cyl that the 3.3 was based off of is regularly pushed into the 600awhp range with a DOHC conversion (3.3 is already DOHC). and that force is now spread out over more cylinder wall surface area, 2 more main bearings, etc......yea, it's possible.

alright, I'm done hijacking
