I should have been here long ago to read threw this forum, but at that time with Wellsville trails and face book to keep fires under control I forgot to even come here. This I am sorry for. Now as far as the hill climb.
I totally agree we had some problems but for the first ever event in this area and the turn out we had I feel it went great.
The next event if woodsbuggy so chooses to have another one will be much better organized, we already have the spot picked out and it will address all the issues that people bitched about.
For the Kentucky people, the situation with the local authorities was not even on our radar, the past two years we have done every thing we can to work with them and turn some bad things to good. This alone has been the hardest thing for us to do. We even went out of our way to meet with them several times about this event in hopes they would see the light and the positives that something like this would bring to the area. Now it is months later and we have made several sizeable donations to them, with the first one being directly after this event they have backed off. It's not like we have asked them to do anything wrong or turn a head to an issue. We made it very clear from day one when we opened the club that negative actions and anything that could cause us to loose the riding area was not going to be tolerated, second to this was the safety of members, and guest belongings. I could write a book here of what has been done to secure this area, I just hope the Kentucky people can in the future let the negative go and return once again.
Also in the future we want to put on a organized ride, since a good portion of the core group in charge of the club are buggy people, we would love to show every one attending the hill climb what all is to offer in this area for riding.
So I’ll get off my soap box and thank every one that attended for a great time, woodsbuggy.com staff over all I feel did a great job, technical difficulties cant be helped sometimes and we had a lot of people against us. We showed them that an event could take place, with out injuries, no major problems and unneeded drama.
On another note, two older gentlemen showed up I think on Tuesday in a motor home and spent the entire week hanging out and running their buggies. I would like to get in touch with Dan I believe they were calling him “Buggy Dan” If any one knows who I am speaking of can you have them mail me at

Thanks to everyone that helped make this event happen. I for one had a great wknd. It sucks that things were suck a clusterf@*%. Like said before this was the first event here of any kind! The village people and those here on this sight tried hard to put on an event and should not be bashed for there hard work. They would surely listen to constructive critisism. I don't think they expected the MASSIVE turnout they got. A lot was learned and the next event will be smoother i'm sure.
