I'm getting really tired reading about who's buggies are better than who's. Getting tired hearing about people getting dogged because they don't climb the "big one." Personally I think what everyone should do is climb what they're comfortable with, be proud of the buggy that you have. Wether it's a KY cookie cutter, a predator, a big 'ol chain drive or a homemade buggy (as long as it's safe).
When we went to the hill climbs it was fun climbing the hill and doing some riding, but the most fun was hanging out with all the new friends that we made and all the poeple that are supposed to be a family of buggiers. I know there's going to be disagreements about this-and-that, but instead why don't we go out and play with our toys, enjoy each other and have a good time.
Why worry about who built who's buggy. Personally my buggy is far from the best in the woods, it's more a trail buggy/street buggy that I climb hills with. I take alot of pride in what I DO have and am not ashamed to pull into any park with it. So as long as your happy with what you got and hit the hills that you're comfortable with and if your not into hill climbing, ride the trails. When it's all over after a day of riding hang out with a bunch of great people.
What it all boils down to, I don't care what kind of buggy you have, it's the person that's in that buggy that matters. If that person is happy with what the got than why does matter.
And Pipedope, you hit hills that I never think about hitting right now, you are my hero...

I just wonder...If you took any one of these debates on this forum and put all the ppl involved in that debate around a campfire,,all with a cold drink in hand..after a great day of ridin and climin..would the same things be said face to face?...My guess is No..because being face to face means that you can not only hear but see the emotions put into whats being said..(if that makes 2 sence ?).

you are rite russ, most wont  but anything ive ever used my keyboard for i will always say in front of anyone  thats just me! its kinda no diff than tree huggers  and i also agree with pipedope, ill help anyone in any situation in the woods!!! lets ride have fun and if something needs discussed then lets do it with a cold one and a fire face to face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well... Has anybody been waiting on Passat's take? Maybe not but here it is.Reach down deep to your bowels and pull out every thing you've got mechanically. Then put it together with your mind and hands . Bring it to dodaday and get in it and get mean... I mean mad dog mean. When you are coming up to the top of the climb and your motor is droping below the power curve and it looks like you are not going to make it , you got to side step the clutch and get MEAN, I mean MAD DOG MEAN!!!When you get over the top and the crowd goes wild , you feel like planting the American flag. You look down at the bottom and you look at these pukes that want to justify their short comings by saying, "My buggy does what I want it to do...."I'd like for ole R.Lee from Mail Call to come to fultondale and get dead in your meat a$$."Magot, you make me sick!".Get back on the porch and lick your ba!!$. They are like 2 BBs in a box car!
