Friend of mine has a complete 1915 that needs freshened up. Ran all season, never had to change a spark plug.
You want I'll check on it.

The crank has a little more end lash than it should, freshened up bottom end at least.

Pak Rat 2056,
I hope you were joking about Mofoco, If you have Mofoco heads then the spark plugs need indexed because they are not drilled and tapped to the same depth because the quality is that poor. I saw a "freshly rebuilt 6 rib" from Mofoco in November, it was PURE TRASH. It is sad to see people selling this crap. In my area, Mofoco parts are worth about half what scrap is selling for. Seriously Mofoco parts are that bad.
Good Luck
Kenric

my two other motors are fitted with CB 044s the engine I would like to sell has mofocos yes I heard they are not great quality but they were on the car when I got it, it does run very good for a small cc motor and mofocin junk heads are better then no mofocin heads at all!

Does that mean I would need to get a new crank? or what causes that?

Needs new main bearings. I know almost nothing about VW motors, nor do I want to. This motor has about .035 end lash, that means the thrust bearing is wiped out, again I'm guessing. On a VW that still might be fine IDK.
Motor is complete with Mesa oil cooler, single Webber, 090 dizy, remote filter, Kennedy stage 2 PP, fuel pump and if you want it can have a power steering pump and stuff with it.

so .o35 is too much endlash? i did some investigating and if that is so, then the main bearing dowpin can oval out the dowpin hole and then the case is trashed. someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes good endplay is like .003 to .006 the case will probably need to be machined. read this.
