Does it have these style case savers in it?

Sometimes the cut on the cylinder bore will just get into the threads.
Not a big deal when it happens.
You are using 94 cylinders I am assuming.

Good question Larry, but Brandon i dont see how they bored into the threads when your only using 90.5's or 92's. Neither of them should be big enough to cut into the threads,at least i dont think anyways.

Third that. If the guy is building the motor doesn't know what is going on then I would be afraid of him building the motor. If your going with 90.5 or 92's you don't have to have case savers, 10mm studs are ok and there will be no machining into the threads. If your cut for 94's you have to have case savers and it will get machined into the threads (of the savers).

I would definately ask him how many vw motors he has built and make sure he knows what he is doing. But that is true only if you use 94mm should the threads be cut into. 90.5 or 92mm should fit with no problem.

Like stated the case saver get cut into when boring the case for 94s. It won't hurt a thing.
