not trying to butt in but make sure that the pumps are the same, theres one for a generator and one for an alternator setup,
the alternator uses a longer "push" rod and sets "angled" away from the alternator if i remember correctly, while the generator pump uses a shorter "push" rod and sits more straight up

i hope this is correct but i been running electric pumps lately and havent changed one in a while so i could have the info "backwards" but i dont think so :|

mine is straight up and down, But looking at pics of them i dont see one like mine. the top on mine has like 8 maybe 6 screws to take it off and get inside the others dont look like you can pull them apart

thanks ridenrace6 im going to take 3 different style pumps and two different length drive rods to be safe for jayrod sure we can make something work !

And i got an electric one . 2 1/2 to 4 lb pump so it'll work
