I was behind the comander when Ody put it on plus 45 degree and stayed like it was glued there. We both climbed the same hill and they both got a little squirrly in the same place but was easily over come by the 4x4!

Tha spot is squirrly in the Woodsbuggy too.

Sorry jr, your wrong the suby is 130hp out of the box but the torque is awsome. And it was free!!! My stroker costs over 5000 just to get close without as much torque. Nice try though, can deffinatly tell the apple doesnt fall far from the tree!!

Willlie puts his RZR thru some sh*t. It does do VERY well. But it has its fair share of breakage too.
Funny thing is I never seen it break when Tammy is driving it.

Like said before I took the Commander thru every thing Plumberbill took his Buggy thru. Granted there are some areas I would choose not to venture in however that would only be because of ground clearence and a long travel suspension would cure that. Well maybe that says something about what yall are going thru in your buggies. A side by side can trail ride anywhere we trail ride, but they aint none of them going up our play hills. Willie will hit anything in his rzr, but it dont make it up stuff he can fly up in his buggy.

For my style of aggressive trail riding I needed to build a heavy duty Buggy. Nothing personal however a KY Buggy would not last me a week lol. The RZRs in my opinon are build like China knockoffs and it does not surprise me they break easyly. Ths Commander is built much better however time will tell. I dont know. If you dont hit a tree or run into a boulder, I dont think you'd break a light buggy running over stuff because there is not as much impact on everything. Hell. Tim followed yall (or somebody that was a regular up there and thought they was a hot dog) everywhere with a sickass wore out 1915 barely pulling a 6 rib on a cobra style 2 seater and didnt break nothing. And Tammy did too on like her 2nd time ever driving a buggy. And he said it seemed like whoever it was, was trying to run fast to see if he could hang. And he did. I think a lighter buggy would last longer than a tank. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe yall will find out if DVS1 gets to finish his ss .

I am going to buy a Razor this coming winter someday soon, as far as I have seen they do, it is unbelievable and goes anywhere just about a buggy would go, I know for a fact that I would not take it up some trails that Rush, KY has to offer, I would just go around them, but anyways, the real reason that I want one is because it is more like Ody said, it is low-maintenance and it has 2 seats so I don't have to worry about building another buggy with 2 seats and they are fair in the prices. It will be a Razor "S" model, I like the wide +5" long-travel suspension they come with and the awesome Fox shocks too, but unfortunately, on the 2011 models it does not have the Fox shocks, you will have to get the LE models to get them, I don't like the 2011 LE models they have and I'm just gonna get the plain ole red one and buy the shocks for it  Watch some of the videos on Youtube on these Razors, you won't believe the power they make even with the turbos! and that is too much for the woods

My opinion. The hell with the side by sides they are all pieces of crap. They started racing them at the national gnccs when i was racin the 4hweeler and it doesnt matter which one u get they all break equally. A side by side doesnt even compare to a buggy so i dont know why this post is even here. I run a 1915 with a 6rib now. For the last 4yrs i ran a 1641 with a 3rib, I climbed Mother F.....r with the 1641 in wellsville, Big Deal I did everything with that lil motor and trans. But i guarentee a side by side could not follow me everywhere i go when im leading the group. I very much enjoy riding with plumberbill, odyknuck etc... But Its fast aggresive trail riding.Dont get me wrong its a hell of a time and loads of fun, But I myself enjoy cruising along slowly drinkin my beer, and look for something very difficult to do. If im not scared that im not gonna make it to the top then im not TRUELY having the best time i can. Thats why i have a buggy to scare myself, for the adrenaline. Nothing compares to the A/C VW BUGGY .! End of story     :D

There is no way that a side-by-side can accelerate as fast as a 200 horse buggy does in my opinion. And what about the turning brakes thats sure is a lot of fun in itself. Aren't all side-by-sides automatic(strong enough for a man but made for a woman)? A true fun to drive sports car is alway a standard shift. Just throwing another log on the fire

SubySteve, is yours a 2.2 or a 2.5?

Mines a 2.2, ody has a 2.5 single cam, it has 165 hp before he put turbo to it.

Your 2.2 is bone stock, right?
What size was your a/c vw? What heads, valve sizes, carb n venturis, cam?
(Sorry to be so nosey, just trying to get see how in the world you feel more torque with a 2.2 suby  )

Didnt see a post where NOBODY wanted to do the hare scramble, not even the wellsville crowd?

Anyways I wasnt saying that. Its just that someone thought they was gonna dust our lil "ditch witch" buggies and it didnt happen. You seem to think that a light built buggy would fall apart in no time, but those folks didnt break riding underpowered vehicles in unfamiliar territory following a veteran of that area. Buggies can be light AND strong. Heavy duty in the right places, not everywhere. The more you save weight where you can, the easier it is on the places that need to be strong.
From what I heard yall got some fun trails and killer hills even though they aint cut like we cut 'em.
My original point was plumberbill must not have been climbing those hills when that sxs "followed him everywhere"........(I think that was my point, I cant remember)  8) .

Plumberbill and Odyknuck are more into very aggressive trail riding and in the fact that a light buggy CAN follow them, it is just as much fact that it will NOT hold up as long as their buggies will. You cannot compare apples to oranges im sorry.

Also, we've been working on cutting in new hills and have plenty of room for more! Plus many of the old hills are steep and twisty turny so not sure how they're supposed to be cut in, but id say wellsville has every single kind of terrain u can ask for or find.
