When I was at Wheelers for the hillclimb I was talking to Rick and asked about riding there. He said that if a group of guys wanted to ride, he wouldnt care. He said that all they had to do was call him and let him know when. He is a hell of a nice guy.

WV-WV-WV-WV-WV-WV-WV-WV-WV-WV.i have pretty much begged you guys to come ride with me.a few have come and all you have to do is ask them.we have thousands of acres of old strips and land company property.and before you think oh trespassing and tickets,it dont happen.we get 4x4 clubs from all over that come and ride.we have advertised events at these places.almost every police officer (state and local)that lives here ride there.locals here dont ride hatfield and mccoy we ride where its alot better and more fun.we get people from all over the usa come and camp and ride ivey and its because they hooked up with one of us here local and now they come to ride with us and not hatfield mccoy.alot of people will use their camp sites but ride elsewhere.if you take out what you bring in is the big thing dont litter.stay away from active mining, and dont destroy anything but the ground.dont be a stupid idiot and your fine.they dont gate them or post them for liability reasons on property they dont use.if you get hurt your on your own,and thats the way it should be,how can people sue for their own ignorance anyways, but please come and ride anytime.i've been trying to see about leasing but the landowners see it as more of a problem than a benefit.now they and their families can go ride with us on the property with no regulations.lease it and now you have DEP and every other state agency they are trying to stop you cause your taking money from the hatfield mccoy trails and they dont want any competition, yet they wont allow buggys and offroad trucks.i have been talking with alot of people and it seems they are seeing this that we will be needing a place like this before long, who nows if it will happen or not.so come and play a weekend and we willl have a blast.chad

There's plenty of cheap houses the further east you go. Might need (more than) a little fixin up though.  There is either REALLY nice places, or really rough ones usually. Hard part is finding good work, unless you are good at growing and hiding crops.
I live 3 hrs from D&K, if it werent for the work thing, I'd be living closer to it myself.

I love Haspin, It is like a mini-wellsville. We ride all night long, just dont go in and out of the campground at night. The noise travels down to town to easy. That is why we camp towards the trails. You can ride all weekend on new stuff. Its small, but toooonnnsss of trails to choose from. Wellsville is still my favorite, but this is second of the 6 or so I have been too. It is in Laurel Indiana if you feel like looking at the distance. 3 hours from Mansfield, OH and 4 hours from Akron, OH. Best we have up north if Wellsville does end up dead to us.

Myself and friends used to go to webster county and ride every year and its great! We have'nt been in 10yrs but are talking about doing it again next summer. We have friends there. If it comes about maybe we can do a day in you area on our way down or back. It looks like your south west of webster county. Do you know aprox drive time from flatwoods to you?

Does'nt everybody from rittman have family in webster?   Just messin but i worked in rittman for a couple of years and i swear everyone there knows someone in webster w va.
My ex has family in the Diana area and we ride from there way back into the woods on old logging roads and such. We stay at an old camp that takes an hour or two just to get to on the trails depending on what your driving. I have another friend with a small cabin about halfway between Flatwoods and rt20 off route 15.

Gasman, where in W.Va. are you talking about? Closest town(on the map)to the trail head? How far from wellsville? Do you know of a guy called Nubbs? I don't want to quit riding by a long shot but I don't want to drive 8 or 10 hours to do a ride. And I don't want to deal with da man either.

there is alot of places all around here to ride.to get to here i live 1mile from the waterways trail head of the hatfield mccoy trail.zip code 25529.seems like it took me right at 4hrs to pull to wellsville, and thats stopping a couple times.come I-77 or I-79 to charleston take US119 corridor G south about 20 miles and your here.thats coming from your direction.we have a local motel couple miles up the road, you could also camp at the camp grounds just below the house.they have all utility hook ups or just tent sites and they even rent cabins.we live in an area that almost everybody does some kind of riding all the time.plan a weekend and come ride.i get the homeplace fixed up a little better i could maybe set you up over there and it would be private and not cost ya.would have all the room in the world over there.i could get a few in here at my house just dont have alot of parking here, but can see about parking at the church next door.i will do my best to help you out.chad

I have stayed at the camp site across from the Waterways Trail head center they recently built on 119. I have taken my Pilots there on several occasions. Can you get to the trails you ride on from there without going on 119? The local police really frown on that.

you can get to some of the riding from there if you just cross 119 and go the shared roads of hatfield mccoy to get back in behind them and ride.man you was less than a min from my house,if you was at the camp ground straight across from the trail head.the best riding is on the other side of the river where the train tunnel is.we use to have a trail that came down under the bridge but they blocked it when waterways was built.it would have been under the other bridge from you.you can ride right out on the cliffs across the river and look right down on the camp ground.the county road use to cross the river just below that camp ground it was an old river ford, and when the rivers not up you use to be able to get across and the river bank to that camp ground but have not crossed it forever.how long does it take you to get down here?if you wanted to stay at the camp ground and trailer another mile up the road you can go from there or if i could get the trail opened up across the river.i live in the next small community up from there.we are kinda in the middle of nowhere and i have 2 state trooper and 3 county officers that are neighbors and they all ride so as long as you are not giving it hell and just you know high gear not loud not speeding just criusing through then your fine.the hatfield mccoy riders come right up 119 up around our little road to the our little mini mart store everyday so its not like you would be out of place riding the road i mean the police here would be more about checking out your ride and getting to know you than blue light ya.chad

This guy Nubbs you're talking about must be Nubb Ross, he and his dad are regular drivers at East Lynn and they know the place like the back of their hands.
