Locals or not 25 buggies sounds optimistic. Also is winner gonna take all or that around 1500 bucks gonna be split all the way down to 4th? Numbers get much smaller then....

Marty why do turbo's gotta be extra. I already play for it in fuel lol. Your pushing your luck for me coming to halloween ride with these comments. haha just kiddin :P

I talked to Anthony Duke,,he is co-owner of the park. He says he will pay $500 for 10,,$750 for 20,,and $1000 for 24 or 25. He is at least matching or over matching entry fees,,that's as good or better than usual. He also tells me they have had a few hill climbs there recently paying just as good but have not had the entrys they wanted. I wish I had known ,,I would have tried hard to been there for that. He says they have some knarly hills. This rally race should be fun,,and a cool way to meet other buggy people and promote Woodsbuggy.com

Right, for 2 classes. The numbers below might be the combined winnings of 2 classes.

$1000 plus entry fees,,say they get their 25,,thats about $700,,so $1700,,then first could be 40 percent of 1700 is $680, , 30 percent of 1700 is $510, 15 percent is $255,,etc,,,,I don't know that these numbers are the payoff but all indications I get puts them close,,

Any time a park at least matches the entry fees is a good time,,it's at least a chance to meet,,greet,,and promote our sport and show off our hobby. I am looking forward to this event.

So... Who is going to try and win the money?? I would guess more people would enter a rally race than a hill climb.

I am working on the wife but I do not have her sold yet....

I'm planning entering it. Any special safety equipment we have to have other than what we normally have or use at the hill climbs? This should be better than the tuff truck races. 8)

We are up to 10 Buggy's. Who else is going to make it...

Marty is even talking smack about water cooled engines.  He said that no one can keep up with the power of his 6 cylinder

BTW.. Marty is completely unaware of any of these comments. They are completely fabricated by me...

I think Chad was talking about coming. I don't know about Chris and Bobby. Still a bunch of Bruton folks that could show. Richard says there are supposed to be a bunch of local buggies down there. But I don't know. Richard already had 10 buggies racing down there I think before anyone on our list.

Make the track about 6 times longer with some mild jumps. Spice it up! I have enof gas for that.

"MickeyMouse"]I spoke with Iron Horse today... The race will be held on a 3/8 mile "Somewhat Oval" track with two high bank turns on each end. No Jumps. Good Packed Dirt..

$12 per person (under 6 is free)
$25 pre-registration
$30 Registration

What type of tires should be used for this or does it matter??
AT, boggers, V tread
Tony

So it's a 3/8 mile oval dirt track with banked turns. Prolly going to be mostly flat track style racing. Why is everyone against jumps? Jumps sounds great to me! Couple of miles long. like 50 miles? Hell ya.
