I was looking to do some off roading with the rail this weekend. We was going to go to Haspin but looks like rain is moving in from the west Saturday and they are going to get soaked. Anyone that knows Haspin, knows to stay away from that place after a soggy rain. LOL

Ohio weather, especially eastern Ohio is looking good. I’m from Columbus, OH area. Are there any riding rail friendly riding places in Ohio to go? I know about Wellsville, just wondering what else there is? I will have a few quads and dirt bikes with me too.

The best place in Ohio is Wellsville. If you have not been there then I highly suggest you make that your destination.

How nasty are the Wellsville trails? I have a slightly pissed off 1641 in a 4-seat rail with basically a stock suspension, 31x11.50 TSL SX tires. It was built to be more to be a trail rail then a hill ripper. Does Wellsville have some cruising trails?

Not all the time. Quck rains, yes. We went there one Saturday after a very long week of raining. The main areas where so bad with mud that quads and UTVs where stuck in the middle of the open areas. My rail is also a street rail so I try to keep it a little presentable. Its very first trip after built I took it to haspin on a muddy weekend and it immediately looked like it was 4yrs old. lol

Wellsville has everything from trails your 10yo can ride his 50cc quad to the most intense trails on the planet. I would strongly suggest finding someone to show you around, one wrong turn and you could be on a hill that's steeper than @#$#$ 3/4 of a mile long and no way out. There are a bunch of guys that run stock stuff here, again the trick is knowing where to go and where to stay away from.

wahlhonding hills camp ground is a nice place to ride. rails atvs and dirtbikes are aloud there. you do have to have insurance on your manchines to ride there and you have to show proof when you go there. its nothing crazy at the camp ground as far as rideing goes alot of main trails to get around. there are some places thebuggies go that are outside the camp ground. its prob 1.5 hours from you. its like 8 bucks per manchine to ride for the day

Who the F has insurance on a buggy unless it's street legal and here in Pa, that aint gonna happen. If there are 300 buggys at Wellsville for a weekend MAYBE 4 of them have insurance.

Well mine is a street/woods buggy, I'm on of the few that are insured :) It really is a pain to use one buggy for both but I manage.

Not my rules. nor do i understand why they have to have it. maybe cause they are a actual campground/off road park that there insurance makes them require insurance. who knows and you are rightmost people dont have insurance on there buggies.
