I know on alot of things you get what you pay for but I was curious if anyone has bought these an if they hold up? Or opinions if you think they would hold up.

I think they offer different thicknesses. They are usually light weight for the sand and from what I have heard not very strong. If you plan to off road at all I'd probably avoid them. The ad even says for street use.

Edit: I guess I can't read since it says for "offroad use only". I must have read it too quickly.

I ran a set of Douglas wheels like that in Florida running in mainly sand. They held up well until I hit a stump or some lime rock. They also sell a CMS bolt together wheel that is much heavier aluminum. I have those and have run them for seven years. Bent tie rods and steering wheels but never a front rim. Taco-ed my rear wheel on a tree at 35 mph but it lasted five years. The bolt together wheel are the same gauge as these welded , you should be good with those, thought they were Douglas wheels

i have a set from empi and they hold up good .i do keep 35 psi in them

i have the douglas wheels on and play pretty hard. have bent both rears very bad but both times laid a magazine on it and beat the hell out of it and you can hardly notice. thay are very light weight and fairly cheep so theres pros and cons.
they hold up good until i run about 12 psi but you cant have everything.

I wasn't bad mouthing ran them for years and the pro is that they can be straightened. I think a set with bead locks and rock rings from 4130 or 6061-t6 aluminum would make them nice and strong while weighing less than the CMS wheels

oops, brain fart ive olny bent rears no fronts just tie rods multiple times

not to change the topic but is there a reasonable weld on bead lock that will work on wheels like douglas?

I have been using Douglas wheels with out any problems.
They look the same as those.
Douglas makes a red label and a blue label (.190 thick vs .125)
The red held up when I roll my buggy. I did bend my spindle but not the wheel.
