Oddpowers is getting ready to put new jugs and pistons in his 1641. What would he be able to do to go a little bigger without spending a bunch of money, 1771?

You can get slip in 88 mm jusg, but I wouldn't go bigger than th 87mm 1641 without machine work... the jug wall gets really thin.

Is he running ratio rockers now? If not but some 1.25 rockers with the 1641 for some increased power, could also fly cut heads a little to up the compression... but will have to increase octane too.

what heads is he running? i gotta set of 041's that ive ran on my 1915 and 1641 that thing was a little screamer lol juss swapped them out for 044's

I don't know what heads I have or what rockers I have. Prolly all stock stuff. Nitro and I were talking and wondered if 1641 was the biggest I could go with out machine work. 1776 would require machine work, yes?

A 1776 does require machine work it has 90.5 jugs but well worth it. Thats what im running and i love it but i have mofoco 041 heads and a counter weighted crank but it runs great. But thats the rout i would go.

I have a chance to get a 44 weber. Do you guys think a 1641 will work good with a 44?

I had a 1641 that was 10:1 compression, 041 heads, 110 cam, 1.25 rockers, and that thing SCREAMED for a little motor. It would pull the front end on flat ground with a three rib. Or just build a big boy motor

Fly cutting shaves the surface of the head where the jug meets. This decreases the chamber size in turn uping compression. If your going to do machine work, go bigger than 1776 though...

x2..clearancing cost the same, if its 90.5 or 94s...same with the pistons and jugs, "no replacement for displacement"

For a small amount you can build a 1914.A counter weighted crank is well worth the extra cash and the machine work ain't that much is it? I don't know have not had one cut in years but that's the truth NO SUB FOR CUBE'S

my set up as well, what carb do have on yours? ihave a weber 40 on mine , single , for now, and was wondering if you had the same if you could tell me what jets your running? im close but think it could be better!! and what it takes to go bigger is MONEY
