here you go, pick your gear ratios out of the quote then go to the link at the bottom, pick a calculator and enter the info

Some of the early 3ribs had a 3.80 1st gear, but essentially all the bus trannies in the USA have the same 1-4 ratios.
They are some that have like a 4.11 and 2.33 but I believe they were European models only, very rare.
R&P
3rib:5.38 and very few rare 5.42
5rib: 4.86
6rib nose shift: 4.57
6rib: side shift in nosecone or in main case: 4.57,4.83,4.86,5.42,5.50,5.83,and 5.86.
3rib vanagon side in nose shift:5.86
They're probably some very rare like 5.14 used in some industrial applications that vw made.

Take a hand held GPS and a passenger to read it with you. I didn't realize I was going 70 on my road until I did this

They will go faster than you think.I run quite a bit of black top and also down the four lane to some of my riding and I will pull out and leave traffic running down the four lane.came home from a late night ride about 8 miles down four lane (short cut,lol.) it was a full moon so I waited on a car to follow and then pulled out behind it and ran with no lights.happened to be my buddy coming back from the races.he said he heard me pull out but couldn't tell where or what I was.I got up with him and he tapped his brake lights and could see me behind him and figured it was my dumb ass so he took off.I was wide open trying to keep up and I caught some wind and the whole buggy just moved over to the guard rail bout wiped out.damn thing hydro plained.scared me pretty good he pulled off at my exit he said we hit 100 coming down through there,seemed like we was cruising about 60.won't do that know more,lol.and they say do not exceed 35 mph on them v treads,blew that away,lol.Chad :mrgreen:

3drink now has an app on phone for gps and mph...when i get bug back from mystic performance, we gonna c just how fast it is! :shock:

My car is street legal and has a tach and speedo. I have a midshift 6rib 4.83 final gear. I can hit 90+ in 3rd gear. my redline is about 6500. Its starts to move around a little at 90 so i've never tried to keep going in fourth.

GPS speedos are available now. no cable or sender just a little antenna mounted on your roof.
