Just wondering, I never hear what type of shifters you guys run or like to run. I have seen many different types, used them all from stock, to homemade to bugpack, and I like the short throw T style from Bugpack. Although, I haven't used a Berg, just wondering what type you guys like to run? Let me know, thanks Donnie

Scat too close for me. Gene Berg is good, but you have to take out a loan to buy one(I think 350.00 plus). I use a modified stock shifter..works great.

I use a stock shifter that is cut down, so it;s only about 4" high. Works great for me

For the past couple seasons I've had the "short" empi T-handle shifter with the push button reverse lockout. The shifts are always solid, and I never have problems hitting the gears. One thing I have come to find out about it though is once in a while you have to take a brillo pad and shine the button up and coat it with some light oil to make it work smoothly. The button is aluminum as is the body, and they tend to oxidize/corrode lightly if you don't stay on top of it.

i use the empi short handle t shifter personally i do not like it i would like to get the bug pack or empi shifter with the pull lever for reverse

I use a empi trigger style shifter so far i like well. had a scat shifter and hated it .

stock with an 8 ball shifter knob. had a bugpack t shifter. was hitting mah lag. ill sell it if anyone wants it

had a hurst and empi trigger but stock worked the best in mine

Best there is, got a Berg in my 67 Beetle.
Was in the bug when I bought it.........

Went with a Berg copy in my woods buggy, works great.
Took a Scat out and replaced it with th

I had an old empi shifter in my rail to start with and ended up swaping a factory shifter with a quickshift kit into it.

I use a stock one that has been shortened. Works perfect. I wouldn't use anything else.
