It is funny how all of the 4x4 clubs and races are afraid of riding/competing with a WoodsBuggy..

I am glad that we allow 4x4's to compete in our Hill Climbs. At Choccolocco, we had the super stars of 4x4 Off Road Racing and they did very well but still had 10+ buggies beat them.

Our inclusive attitude appears to be spreading. ECORS (East Coast Off-Road Racing Series) has changed their rules and will allow WoodsBuggies to compete in their Racing Series. This is a bad ass 3 hour race through the woods. Check it out at http://www.ecors.com.. I have the forum all fired up about having woodsbuggies compete..

Would anyone be interested in Racing the ECOR race? The entry fee is a little steep. $200 entry fee..

seem like most of those cats are very respectful of what a woodsbuggy can do. at least you gave them something new to talk about

A few years back the Hill Climb at Morris Mountain was mixed and we had a ball together.

MAORA has always let woodsbuggies race, that is how I got started racing. its only $25 to enter, but you have to pay the once a year $55 membership fee. Still much cheaper. We also have long races at each event ranging from 3/4 mile - 4miles, or even longer if we can. Long races are generally 3 hours plus one lap. http://maoraracing.us/frontpage.html

I know how the 4x4 guys feel,i was in a Samurai when i first seen what a decently built buggy can do. So i did the next best thing, sold the sammy and bought me a buggy 8) .4x4's can ride with me anytime they want,i aint prejudice against any vehicle in the woods unless its a 4 door Mercury Sable

amen to that! there scared! i have a jeep and a rail, and hands down my rail would smoke my jeep. but to each there own, i've had so many people in ahh in the woods when they see what a rail is capable of, thats why they dont want to compete in the same class! and i dont blame them

So who is interested in competing... After reading the rules, I would need to add 5 Point Harnesses and a Winch.

I can relate. It's kind of like how car guys are afraid of motorcycles. They all talk about how fast there muscle car is, till a bike shows up. And even with bikes, the harley guys talk about how fast there harley is with the stage 3 screaming eagle whatever, and when a sport bike shows up, they all say, well i'm not about going fast I just want to cruise
