Looking for good complete set up or close to it......
4 lug rotors
Calipers
Mounts to work with raised spindles (can modify as needed)
Hand operated master cylinder
Flex hoses

Or......Just to get rolling again, a 4 lug drum, smashed the bearing housing out of one last weekend after numerous hard landing jumps

Thanks!

Hey for'ner...
Ghia rotors from a boneyard. Tim had some, or if he dont you should be able to get them new from Advance, but I bet the core is high on 'em.
Make some mounts out of 3/16 and weld them to back of your spindles. Ghia calipers will work. About $60 each new at most bugshops.
I like nisssan sentras better (only because they are $11 at pullapart  ) but they are a little heavier.
Wilwood or Strange single pistons are the best way to go, IMO. I might know where some used ones are.
Just get a cheap m/c from Tim for like $35 and make your own mount and handle, like the one Tanner showed.

pm me your address I'll send ya a drum to use for now. I owe you after all that good grub I've eat of yours!
Better yet , round up all the pieces and bring your buggy up and we'll put it all together. Just be pepared to man the grill. :D

Thanks for the info guys, went to Tims (southern buggy's) last night and bought a disk brake kit that was missing the calipers. Just got to find some sentra calipers, Tim said 84-87 sentra? but you need the brackets for them to float?
What about the Wilwoods you mentioned Larry, are they solid mount? you need dual opposite cylinders for solid mount, right?
any other car calipers that are solid mount?
New sentras were $30 plus $15 core......

I had always heard it was thru '87 on the Sentra, but the last set I got were off a '91 , they looked identical and they mounted right up to the mounts I had made for some older calipers on Koko's rear arms, but the pads were a little wider. You are right about the bracket. Thats why its best to get them at a junkyard because the new ones dont come with the bracket or the rubber lines. If you pull it yourself, just take out the two 17 mm ( I think?) bolts and it will all come off together. Keep the bolts and get the rubber lines, too!

The fronts I got are solid mount, piston on each side. Made by Strange Engineering. I'd imagine small wilwoods are the same. These look just like them. You are right, Sentras and other single side calipers are floaters. I think its best to still try and center the caliper over the rotor as best you can even if they are floaters.

Did your "kit" come with a piece that bolts to the spindle somehow to mount the sentra caliper brackets onto? Never seen them before if they did. I just set the calipers over the rotors with pads in them, space them up off the edge of the rotor about 1/8", adapt an air line down to go onto the brake line and it will hold itself centered while you make a mount to go from the back of the spindle to the caliper brackets.
