I need money to help finish my buggy build. So I have to let one of my trannys go for the better good.

this is a side shift of an 84 vanagon.
tranny code is ABD
I pulled it out of the van my self
Tranny only
never ran it so I dont know its condition so its As IS. The price reflects the unkown.

Everyone should know what a side shift looks like but if you really need a pic I can send you one if your interested.

I looked up the code and here are the gear ratios.. Starting at 1st gear.

ABD 4 T3 - 3,78 2,06 1,23 0,85 ------ 4,83

ABD is a side shift on the side . Not a side shift on the nose. ABD has a 2 spyder diff. and 483 ring and pinion. I always use this British chart for codes. www.partsemporium.co.uk then click on type 25 gearbox codes. Over there type 25 means Vanagon here. And Gearbox means transmission. ACW codes have a 4 spyder diff. Print it off and y'all thumb tack it to your garage wall. 8) After that , go get ya a fwd drive trans! :lol:

All 84s and on are mid shift trans with the much better reverse.
