For sale is a 6-rib transaxle with a 5.86 ring & pinion and an auto-locker differential. The two-spider locker differential will lock both rear wheels together under power and unlock when coasting. This transaxle was removed from my auto-stick rail buggy and fitted with a standard 091 bell housing and input shaft. A non-disassembly visual inspection was done, the oil was drained and it was cleaned and painted. It works perfectly, no problems and has served my buggy very well. This would be a great transaxle for an auto-stick conversion or single-seat ultimate hill climber.

It was removed from my buggy only because I am currently building an 094 midshift autostick transaxle with air-locker setup from a synchro-mesh Vanagon which will go into my new buggy that I am currently (re)building.

The price is $1,000 FIRM. No trades.

Would the diff locking up goin up a hill make the cuttin brakes be useless? Not being a smart ass just askin? I remember once my spider gears locked up an It would just push the front end straight goin down a trail or climbing it would try to bogg the motor when I pull hard on the cutters

I heard someone say its hard to drive like with that cause the steering is bad

The driving technique is a little different. Turning brake still works, just not as well. With both wheels pulling always you sure can go a lot of places that a one-leg differential would not allow. I liked it in my buggy.

Anybody want it for $750?
