how many quarts do these tanks hold and whats the measurements ? is there a "drain" and "vent" ports or only the "supply" and "return" ports ? also what kind of "filler neck" and "cap" setup does it have ? |

I got one that chuck made, it uses an expanding rubber, universal cap, he told me they hold about 9 qts., mine had a suction filter that threaded into the backside that would also act as the drain I would assume. I'm pretty sure it had a vent hole, too. These look about the same as chuck's, so I would expect the same specs. |

Thanks Jeff Clay......They are pretty much everything you said. Size is 13 1/2 " tall 8 1/2" wide and 5" thick. They have a 11/2" tubed hole in the top for a rubber expansion plug. 3/8" pipe thread adapter welded on the side for return. 3/8" pipe thread adapter on the bottom for supply. A RT Angled 3/8 to 1/2 barbed fitting is used in the fittings. I don't weld anything in for a vent because i like to drill a hole for a valve stem so i can pressure bleed the system then put a small tube on the valve stem for a vent/puke tube. I dont install them so it can be put on either side of the tank. I do beleive that im going to start supplying the tanks with the parts to install it for the extra charge of the material so it will be a complete package. If anyone has any suggestions im always open to suggestion........Quality is the wise decision of many alternatives. |
