I have 2 of those vans. Great fun to ride in. 75MPH in a flat nose van feels like you are about to travel back to the future. All they do is sit because NO ONE makes a pitman arm for them anymore (and the master cylinder core charge is now over $300... Yes that is just the core charge... ). Steering in both my vans has about a 6-8" dead spot. Makes counter steering on a windy day a real blast. Too bad too. Somehow in 1961 Ford was able to make that van get 21MPG. They sure haven't used all this technology to improve mileage considering my 2000 Ranger gets 3 MPG less than one of these shoe boxes. :?

That's a kick in the nutz. A friend of mine had about a dozen of them sitting in a field, most of them were in real good condition. He scrapped them in the fall last year, they were taking up too much room and scrap prices were up real high.

i think i like the fords a little better but dodge had a similar body style van in the early to mid 60's also

back in the mid 80's my dad had 69' ford van with a 302, long tubes w/side exit cherry bombs, 3 on the tree, 9" rear and torque thrust style mag wheels that i used to like driving and didnt even have a license yet, kinda wish i had it now
