Okay, heres the thing. I have mouts for bags on my frame. I am trying to decide on wether or not to put them on. I need to know.......... -What all do i need? -Whats a ballpark cost? -Is it worth it? -advantages/disadvantages Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will be leaving my torsion bars in, but set low. So that if i were to blow a bag out i can ride home without any problems. They are set decently low as is right now. Thanks dave |

I paid less than $200 -Is it worth it? without a doubt -advantages/disadvantages totally adjustable, light weight/ might need two shocks per side to remove possible bounce Any help would be greatly appreciated. Don't need torsions for any reason, the bags are rated for 600psi burst they won't break.In fact the torsion bars will have an ill efect on the bags, scrap the bars. Thanks dave |

I agree w/everything he said, I just put my first set on and i love'em. I paid $60.00 for a set on Ebay. I do have my own question though... I have a set on my dodge and a set on the buggy and i can't keep air in them for over a couple hours @ a time. No lines, just schrader valves and iv sprayed them w/soapy water and don't see a leak. Is teflon tape not good enough, should i use plumbers putty? |

good dble bellow bags with bump stops can b alil steep...my firestones where around 150 ea....search around for airbags that lift tag axles on tri-axles, they are a good size..if u r interested i have 2 used bags ill take 25.00 ea for them..also you can reduce the bounch by seating your bags closer to the tires, u have more leverage and u dont have to run as much air. which will result in better ride and less bounce |

I ran my first bags with the torsion bars still in but no pre-spring and they worked fine for me,,,when I went with spring plate eliminators I lost the torsion springs, I never had a bounce problem but did go to dual shocks to slow the rebound down some because of my heavier engine. I truly enjoy my compressor,,,this past weekend alone I must have aired up at least 4 tires for buddys,,and I can raise my buggy up and lower it with ease on the trails. |

Where do you live bradley? Where can i find them near medina ohio? How hard is it to mount the bottom? Dosent look hard. You guys have pic's of your setup's or build up pictures for it? It sounds like its worth the work/money. Whats the chances i will pop one? Can i prevent that in any way? |

When mounted correctly ,,,placed in their working range limits,,they will not pop, or at least I have never seen one pop. Most bags have built in bump stops too. It takes time and some trial and error to get them located just right,,just tak weld till happy. |

airbags are the only way to go - i put them on my buggy and i'll never run without em again. I did mine like firebug and left the torsions in, but with no tension on them. -- keep em out as close to the tires as you can. What i really like is that when you back off a hill the buggy seems alot more stabile and easier to control. I only use 1 set of shocks, but i did have to use limiting straps |

i have run them for a few years . they worked great for me no issues . but like mike said you may need to use two shocks. and like marty said location is trial by era till you get it right.
