Mermorial day weekend was the first real test of my new buggy. (New to me) well driven by someone else.) The front end is very light, and because of that the front suspension sits at topped out. When I ride it it hardley moves. It is a ball joint front end. Is there any cheap way to soften it up. Fox shocks are a little out of my price range. Though I do know they work well, I listen to afterburnt go on all weekend about his buggy rides like a Cadillac with the fox shocks. (It does ride smooth) I'm not looking for perfection, but right now it shakes the fillings out of your teeth. I'm not adding weight to the front end because I am running a 1600 with a solex so every pound counts. Any ideas? |

u can move some things around like if your battery is in the back mount it up front that will put a little more weight up there |

Extended front trailing arms. 1 x 2 is plenty. Puts more leverage on the spring pack, makes a Cadillac feel like a road wagon by comparison!! For a k/p, you would be out way less than $200. Dont even know where to get any for a b/j. Larry |

sounds like you got something bound up. I run a ball join front end with coilovers and its plenty soft, take your shocks off and bounce on the front see what you get. |

I fixed it!!! I tried to jump a hill in the creek bed in wellsville. (the one with the pipe across the top.) It didn't go real well, I nosed the buggy into the ground kinda hard. But after that my front end started working nicely. I bought this buggy last fall and I think it sat for a long time before I got it. So I think it was just stuck. Thanks for all the advice. |

you can also try some bigger (taller) front tires. 700-15's will give you more ground clearence and a taller tire will roll over objects much easier and you wiil have more "air space" between your rim and the ground. The down side is its a bit hard on your steering box, but then a rack will fix that... and then power steering..... and then a bigger motor... then a built trans.... ok, I'll quit now
