Remove the old towers, stops, springs and adjusters.
Change the style and location of the lower shock pivot
new shocks www.foa.com good looking, well built heavy duty BIG shock
Fit in with plenty of clearence
This is where I'm at now

I have been interested in the F-O-A shocks since I first heard of them a little over a year ago. They look like high quality. What do you think of the quality and price? I know they were priced very reasonably when I first looked into them. How did you select your spring rates? I need to find someone with scales to measure the corners, any suggestions? |

FOA comes highly reccomended, the piggyback shocks are new item for them and I like what I see. As far as spring rates there is a calculator on their web site and Chris is real good with all that. I won't be able to give a good opinion untill I run them. If they work as good as they look I'll be happy. Knowing your weight is important, fully loaded ready to ride weight. |

I do have a functionable workshop, it's called a 12X24 storage locker. And some other guys were complaining about their work space. |

This is finally how I decided to do my shock towers. This is design #4 of 6 that I came up with. The actuall building is nothing, the design part I hate the most. Or should I say deciding which one I like the best.
looks good mike, you going to run braces down to the center then? btw, isnt your frame powdercoated? must suck to have to grind off that nice powdercoat.!
There will be diagonal bracing, the idea was to protect as much of the shock as possible. Yes it does suck to half to grind on powder coat but there is still 99.5% still covered. And thanks to everyone for their kind words, means a bunch. |

nice work mike very stout. when i have to remove powdercoat, i heat it up then take a wire wheel to it and it comes off like butter. in your case its easy to match (black) with a spray bomb. |

I ve got an Eastwood Hot coat powder coating gun and can fix where you are grinding! I use a heat lamp --like those in a body shop! Anyone else could also. |
