I couldn't stand it anymore so I took the buggy out to an abandoned railroad bed to see how the coilovers work. What a differance. I used to drive that in first gear and couldn't control it. Today I shot down in 3rd . I could still steer it and never felt out of control. I think I am to stiff in the front and to light in the rear so I'm going to order some springs from Eibach. Gonna cost a few bucks but I'll have right soon. Fortunatly Shadetree also has gone to them and has a completly differant spring and valving setup so we can compare them. |

when you go to a coilover setup, do you completely remove the torsion bars then? I see how this could work in the back, but in the front aren't the control arms bolted to the torsion springs via set screws? maybe im just missing something? Oh and by the way Dean, when i was up at summit yesterday they had an Eibach coilover with rancho shock that had the external reservoir on the clearance rack for 200 bucks. I didn't really study it a whole lot seeing as how there was just one and i had no use for it, but it may be something worth calling and askign about for a backup? |

When using coilovers in the front you remove the torsion leafs and replace them with threw rods that hold the arms on. |

thats waht i was kind of thinking, just liek a hardened piece of round stock that fits pretty snug inside the torsion keys then huh? |

Like FlaBaja said just a thru rod. It sticksout the end and you double nut them to hold the arms on. I will post a pic tomorrow. But yes the torsions are gone. |

Finally had a chance to test the coilovers. I was pretty happy with them other than they let the front end come up to fast. I need to change the valving to tie the front end down. |

Sorry I did not answer sooner. I have 200 and 275 in the front. The front weighs 500 lbs. |
