Post subject:  How much nitrogen ?
Hey guys , I put a set of 14 inch 2.0 fox shocks on the front of my buggy that I purchased from down south motorsports . When I put them on they held the car up fine . I expected to have to add but thought run them and adjust as needed . When I put it in the woods to test the front end lowered and would not return to ride height . I stuck a tire gauge on that max at 100 and ping , it has 100 or more . What is a good psi to start with ?
Note : this car has ate well and never been on a diet ! :lol:

As for pressure, most people say between 175 lbs and 200 lbs.

I am running between 200 and 250 in my front end. Make sure you have them fully extended before you put the nitrogen in them otherwise you will not get the right pressure in them. I don't have any torsion spring plates in mine. the air shock is a 2.0 10" on mine.

My friends buggy is a tank and after years of playin around he is up to 400

I have 200 in mine and its pretty light in the front. Also remember that every time you check it with the gauge you loose 30-50 psi unless you get a screw on with a valve set up like afterburnt or ody has.

I agree, start with 200. My buggy (4 seater) has 2" Sway away air shocks and 4" longer arms and I think I am around 275 psi.

i will let you use my tank and gauges so you can set it . i run about 350 psi in the front. O and by the way i bought a new gun and i need to come down there to try it out so i can bring the tank with me. :mrgreen:

Airshocks I'm guessing?

Either way, if the front compressed and didn't return to ride height, you have an issue with far too much front suspension friction, which'll be hurting the ride.
