Does anyone have a 7degree tie rod end reamer for sale, rent or borrow? Its for a 1995 Grand Am tie rod end. Not sure about the degree. If anyone knows for sure please chime in.

Our local auto parts stores (advanced, auto-zone, Napa) let you buy the tools and return them when you are finished. Kind of like a free rental with a deposit.

Ream it with a drill bit and pack it with JB weld if you absolutely have to and swear to God you did not know any thing about it!

I have checked with Napa, Oreilly, Autozone and Advanced Auto and none of them have a reamer. JB would probably work on somebody elses but this is for my buggy..lol

Would it be possible to use a Heim joint in place of the tie rod end and drill out the steering knuckle. Or Ford Festiva tie rod ends will fit a ball joint steering knuckle. There are lots of options if you look around.
Good Luck

There is a dirt track shop near by. I will check them out. I thought about heims but the Grand Am rods are made in such a way that I will have to change the ends to use heims. Just about much effort for that as it is to re ream. The Grand Am TRE's are beefier than the VW. I would like to keep it all Grand Am. I did find an el cheapo hand reamer on ebay. Surely with enough TLC, oil and time I can ream 2 holes before it craps out on me.
P.S. It's a King Pin

I run a grand am rack and so does a friend he said the same thing and after his first ride he had to get heims and the tie rod end bent in half pretty easy, just our experience maybe u would have better luck but IMO the stock grand am ends don't hold up and are not stronger than stock vw

Thanks Cush53 for the info. I guess the old German steel is stronger the the thicker Grand Am steel. I ride hard. I bend most of my 1/2'' grade 8 bolts in my suspension after a few rides. Did you make new tie rods and run vw ends or new rods and Heims? What set up did you find to be better?

Clean looking setup. Where did you get your tie rods? I think MadMike made mine for my VW steering.
