I've found a old Porsche junk yard, what can I get off them. What year and model of Porsche . Axles , joints and was wondering about stubs and flanges. Rear engine Porsches or porsches with engine in front. Parts will be very cheap I think . Thanks

Porsche parts and cheap don't even fit in the same dictionary. Stubs are useless as the 930 stubs from a Porsche are to short for use with type 1 trailing arms. I have seen guys use the cast aluminum trailing arms from a 944 or 924 with the factory rear disk breaks.

The 914 engine can be used on a 6 rib but building one is cost prohibitive about double that of a type 1 engine.

930 cv's can be gotten and used, but I doubt that a strictly Porsche salvage yard will sell parts cheap

Early Porsche 924 before they went to aluminum trailing arms used Thing stubs and the CV's have smaller balls for more travel. The stubs have the VW logo cast on them for any doubters. These stubs are also on VW 411/412 but the production numbers are low for these. Porsche 924's are looked down on by the Porsche snobs and don't sell for much money around here- There is a local junkyard up here with 924's and the price for 2 stubs, 4 CV's, 2 axles is $125.00.

Thanks everyone . I'll let y'all know next week. It's not open to public, old man has it and I know his son. He told me to find out on what I could use and we would go look. He likes my buggy stuff and is a good friend to. Thanks

I willing to bet its not a 930 series in a junkyard. And if it is the oldman is not gonna let you pick it. But like bubba said 924 rear stubs and axle if it don't have aluminum arms. 914 I believe front rotors. And axles. Good luck! I love going to old junkyards.
