| Post subject: | ball joint shock travel? |
trying to pick a shock for my front suspension. how much shock travel do i need for a ball joint stock setup? just going to use some cheap shocks. i got some for a chevy truck but they look huge and have 11" of travel. they may look ok if i cut the bell off of them. i dont want a huge shock tower if i dont need it.

well your at full droop now, why not just push the shock down 1-2 inches and make that your eyelet height from the top of the frame rail and fab something up? take that bolt in sleeve thingy out of the shock rubber and bolt it up like a king pin shock! thats what most of em are anyway! and i think they look killer like that |

I agree with Dave shave a couple of inches then mount you will not even need limit straps. |
