my buggy has extreme positive caster angle, seems to make the buggy suspension very stiff and notchy, was wondering what angle was good for a buggy. |

I assume this is on the frontend. Linkpin or balljoint? |

caster is mostly just to make wheels want to go straight. when you make a turn and let go of the wheel and it returns to straight thats caster in action. too much caster would cause stiff steering at speeds. extreme positive camber could cause jerk in the steering wheel over bumps and less turning radius because the wheel is now leaning over more than turning. |

I assume you mean in the front. What angle do you have the beam mounted at? The more straight up an down you have it, the beam, the more darty an notchy the steering will be. |

Hey im working on my firs woodsbuggy project, just got done rebuilding the front end, used this for the shim selection http://www.historicvws.abelgratis.com/t ... ins.htm.On the chart bottom right (after 1960) I did a 6.5 mm offset, which now appears to have givin me somewhat of a positive camber angle, should I re-do it so I end up with a negative camber? how do you thing its going to handle with my current setup? i will be running 3 rib tractor tires in the front, stock length warrior front beam, shock relocators and all that. http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/hh5 ... ntbeam.jpg |
