Got everything all finished up in the rear end of the buggy, bolted the axles in and notice major difference when adjusting the cv angle, So i start messing around spinning things, and everything binds up at a certain point in the rotation- By that i mean i go from having about 1/2" axle movement to no movement at all. Bent stub?? Had some clickin end of last year AND blew a cv on that side also.

If you had a stub bent you'd know for sure.sounds like a cv binding.did you clock your cv's,did you have them apart at anytime greasing them.Chad

Yea it pry is from that damn tree come to think of it....same side that i hit... Yea gasman, had the cvs apart today cleaned, inspected, greased and clocked them. UNLESS...the whole trailing arm is bent? But...that wouldnt cause it to bind just in the one spot...SO It really has to be the stub axle..  stupid trees...lol

The more i think about this the dumber i feel even questioning it haha....When i hit that tree, i came off the hill backwards, it hit the passenger rear rim and folded the rim into the brake caliper   ....So all that force was on the stub. Mystery solved lol

It just snapped my frame in 3 places, broke the drop down trans mount, killed a rim, and bent a stub...nothin major ha and nevermind the headache i had for days

Yea...The old mounts that were on it were pretty half ass. So that explains why those broke lol. On the upside, I have double beadlocked rear rims now.

I lost two lugz on one tire due to the lugs being cut down on the front. Would have never done that myself. Actually requested the lugz were not touched at all, but what does my opinion count, lol, they looked good. Now if I had an SS that didnt have the weight to flex tires I would understand that style of cut for racing. But I cant afford $800 a year for tires so durability means more to me. Now I know I am new to buggies, but it seems that balence of the buggy on the grade and surface means more then cut tires. I outclimb ac buggies in my weight class traction wise alot due to balance and weight distribution. And thats with them having good new cut 23deg stones to my crapy 45 deg goodyears. Just my opinion, but them SS guys always talk about balence for climbing too. Seems like perfect traction is at a mild wheelie. Then you have to be able to drive it, not my strength, lol.
