which is the best aluminum front beam with shock towers and adjusters? both jt and jamar say made in the usa but the jt is about $ 73 cheaper, and ive heard of some aluminum beams breaking the shock towers which i would assume to be the cast ones on the jt beams, im thinking the billet jamar beam will be the better beam ??????????? http://www.dansperformanceparts.com/bug ... 0front.htm |

Thats a good question..I know people who have both. I cant say that I have heard of the shock towers breaking on either one very often. Personally I would go aluminum over cast. It is stronger and lighter. |

dont go with either one. your not saving that much weight. i have a jt and i seen the rest. the round tubes are held to the shock towers by a small roll pin which will breakout and roll the tube around a little at a time. your front end will get lower and lower to the ground over time. if you would like i can take a picture of mine and show you whats going to happen and what i did to mine to fix it after it broke. |

thanks for the heads up instigator, i was concerned about that roll pin doing exactly what you said and was thinking i might try to weld it at least on the backside before ever putting the beam together, if you dont mind post or email me some pics of what you did to fix yours, thanks ridenrace6@yahoo.com |

by the way the buggy i was wanting to put a aluminum beam on is mainly gonna be a street buggy and maybe an occasional "ridge run" or a little drag racing |
