im working on some custom arms for a BJ front end, ordered some of the red eurathane bushings but they have a taper to match the factory arms. ( not planning on using the factory arms at all) my question is once i pull the bearings out of the beams will the ID of the beams be even or do they still have a taper? and what bushings do you / have you used?

Unless I miss my guess, the outside diameter of the bushing is going to be the same as the red bushings and the inside diameter will be the same as the O.D. of your arm. The lower arm has two different diameters. Your bushing will/should have the same. Everyone seems to like Delran for the material, real hard lasts a good long time.

I agree... I ruined a set of urethane bushings in one weekend. Get the Delrin ones once or the red ones 20 times.

Hey Ben you're damn right, forgive me. Trouble is with forum messages is that they can sometimes be misunderstood, when I said cheers I genuinely meant it..

I've not been able to find anyone who supplies Delrin bushes for KP :(

Martin, i apolgize, i was a little pissy this morning anyhow and took your message wrong. its easy to do, ive gotten into a couple arguements with the wife due to her or i misunderstanding a text, damn english language having so many meanings for words depending on how you say it and context!

So they only had delrin bushings for BJ beams on that link ?

www.pacificcustoms.com

If you can't find them on their website, just call them. They have them for kingpin beams. That is where I got mine. They are like 40 or 50 bucks.
