| Post subject: | Air Bags???? |
I am looking to get some adjustable clearance on my buggy and I am thinking about adding coil-overs or air bags. I have heard from a lot of people that airbags with torsion bars works very well. My torsion bars work fine and I can rotate another spline but I was hoping to get something that I can easily adjust. If I wanted to use air bags with my torsion bars, what air bags would you recommend? Or would I be better of getting some coil-over shocks that I can adjust. |

Thanks Mike.. I saw that post and was wondering, what size bags to get? After reading the airbag website, they suggest getting the largest diameter bag possible. |

would you even need air bags if you was going to run air shocks? I know some guy's around here are just running air shocks and they do great. |

Go to a tractor trailer junk yard, pull the bags off there. As far as cars go, not a clue, don't hang out in many junk yards. I spend my time in a machine shop making stuff. |

I know some guy's around here are just running air shocks and they do great. ive been running the 2.0 fox air shocks for about 5 years, and i like them, the only thing i have a problem with, in order to support my buggy, i need to pump the shocks up to 500 psi. last winter, i added the 4 inch round air bag to help out. now im able to drop the psi down to 400 in the shocks. if i had to do it again, i would buy the fox 2.5 shocks. |

Which air shock you get is dependent on the weight of the back of the car. If your well under 500# a corner the 2.0 Fox Air will be fine. Anything close to 500# or over you need the 2.5 Fox Air. If you want ultimate adjustable and a user friendly system, air bag it. |
