This is kind of two questions in one. The 1st is what is the maximum amount of twist thats acceptable in a frame. I am disassembling my rail to check it out and fix little things that I know of. In the process of doing so I noticed that my frame is twisted. The front is set level all the way to about the front of the seats then its starts to become unlevel. In total its out about an 1"-1 1/4". Don't know what the acceptable range is. The 2nd question might be related to the above but doubt it. In inspecting the chassis as said above and noticed that something is wrong with the rear suspension. If your looking at the rear of the car the passengers side suspension sets 1" lower than the drivers said. I have the shocks unhooked thinking it might be them holding it up still the same. I measured from the floor to the torsion tube center and its the same on both sides but, when you measure from the ground to the axle center and they are 1" off. Any ideas Thanks |

The frame appears to be tweaked front and rear. I suspect that most Woodsbuggy frames are tweeked after a season or so, I know mine is. They can only take so much abuse before someting is out of wack. You could take it to a frame shop and have it straightened, replace it or live with it. You can compensate with suspension adjustments to get it to ride level and that would be my suggestion. |

Well i figured out the suspension. Their are 4 bolts that holds the trailing arm to the torsion arm. well one is missing and is allowing the front to drop down. The lever affect is causing the 1" difference. Now i am just thinking of what I want to do with the chassis. |

Like Ody said, try and have it straightened or leave it. If it doesn't bother you roll with it. If you don't think/feel its safe add some bracing. X-bracing does alot, and I'm a fan of a double head bar! |
