I have a buddy that I'm bulding a buggy for he has a stock 1500 and a single weber 44 and he has left me to get the rest of it to work. I'm thinking that there is now way to choke down a 44 weber and still have it work. Am I wrong?

Give him some facts. First one is the system needs lots of preheat. Unless he has a lathe and a good selection of jets and air correctors he'll need custom made venturies since Weber does not make 24, 26, 28 mm venturies for 44s. Who knows which one will work best. Last ones I had made were $25 each. Next I would expect around $200 worth of jets and air correctors. Never mind all the hours you'll have in it seeing what works best and playing with acc pump adjustments. All that for less than 4 horsepower.

Your right now he wants me to build him a motor. I think the single 44 would best fit a 1900cc. Thnaks for all the help.
