| Post subject: | Questions on Baby Dels |
Hi Guys Got my engine running and for a used 1700 it sounds pretty good. I don't know what has been done inside but outside it has a 099 dist I think and a set of supposedly new Baby Dels. My question is when idleing it pops a little not sure why and it has alittle blowby that smells more like gas than oil. Was wondering if the carbs were set up right for this engine sinse the kid I got it from didn't know anything about them except he bought them new in the box and bolted them on but then lost intrest in the project and stoped there. I guss what I am asking is can someone walk me through setting them up or do I need to take it to a pro. Or is there a web site that has set up procedures? Also I have the red wire from the alt hooked up to the starter but dosen't seem to be charging there is several other wires coming from the alt dose one of these need to be hooked up to make alt charge?? Any info , Ideas, or comments welcomed. Thanks MoblMec |
