are you sure its the floats in the carborator sticking? this may sound stupid but when i was getting fuel in the oil, i thought the same thing, i thought that the carborators were going bad too, but what i figured was happening is, when i would trailer my buggy down the highway the air was going past my header that was sticking straight up, it would create a suction inside the motor, and it would actually suck gas out of the carborator through the cylinder into the crank case. so to solve this problem, everytime i would tow the buggy i would tape a beer can over the header and shut the fuel valve off too. a couple of years ago, i was telling wreckincars about this and he laughed when we got to wellsville one day, he went to start his buggy and the motor locked up. he thought the battery was dead. but i told thim, to pull a spark plug out and crank it. and when he did gas shot out. and he had about a quart of gas in his motor oil.
