Do you guys run the remote filters the bolt to the frame or do you run the ones the bolt on to the oil pump?? Always wondering if you back up and into something will it break off the oil pump/filter?? thanks Dave http://www.mooreparts.com/store/product/733/AC117104/ or http://www.mooreparts.com/store/product/684/AC115160/

The one in the link is what I use. The ones that mount directly on the pump are more easily knocked off, imo.

I know a guy or I should say an idiot :!: That bought a bug that had one of them and no engine cage and broke it off the first day he rode it,the only problem is he never checked the oil psi gauge and drove it till it blew up(about ten minutes later)then sold it.I would not use 1 offroad at all :!: :!: .

Remote mount is way better, IMO. For the reasons already stated, plus the oil lines to and from the remote give you a little more oil capacity, the lines are another chance to cool the oil a bit, the filter will be standing up so it dont spill as bad when you unscrew it, and I've heard those pumps with the filter mount built in dont flow correctly.

I run the Oil Filter Pumps on both my rails and love them. I run them for 2 reasons, when changing out engines, you dont have extra lines to unhook when taking your motor on and off your buggy, 2, you dont have to worry about leaking lines or a branch snagging your oil line.

Thats just my opinion, just run what you like and it will be fine. Alot of people run them when they do full flow......so I guess its just a matter of opinion.
