My buddy is planning on building a buggy and was asking me what size engine to run. I told him 1641cc with a c35 cam from scat. I was reading a forum stating that 1776 is a big improvement from a 1641. My brother's friend has a 1641cc engine with an aftermarket cam in it and it runs like a champ. Are there any differences between the 1641 and the 1776? |

If he is gonna make the jump to a 1776 then why not do a 1915? Its no additional cost because you have to machine the block for the 1776 so why not go to a 1915 and have lots of power. |

for what it cost the 1915 is the way to go. we just built one and it runs strong |

Yea you have to cut the case for bigger pistons either 92mm or 94mm pistons there not much different in price if your gonna spend the money go as big as you can. Good luck Posted using the WoodsBuggy Mobile App iPhone |

Agreed if your gonna cut the case and heads might as well cut them for 94s. I'm running a 1915 with cb 044 heads, c35 scat cam, and dual 40 kadrons. Moves my 4 seater along pretty well. Great power between 2000-6000 rpm. Thinking about stroking it to get so umph below 2000 rpm but otherwise really happy with it. Posted using the WoodsBuggy Mobile App |

I run a 1915 with 40x 35.5 valve heads vz15 cam 009 with electronic ignition and dual weber 44s stock pump lightnened flywheel bolted to a 3 rib no complaints power wise |
