| Post subject: | 044 Heads Questions |
I am building an 1835cc engine with a c35 scat camshaft and dual Weber 44s. I am wondering if the 044 heads will work on this particular setup. I am fairly new to VW engines and am wanting to learn more, so this is why I'm asking this question. My brother is running 044 heads on his 1915cc, type 3 turbo setup, juts wanted to put that out there. |

The 044 is the casting of the head it can come with 40 x 35.5 valves and up to the 46 x 37 ultra wedge ports. It depends on what heads you have. Posted using the WoodsBuggy Mobile App |

If I were building that engine I would opt for the los panchito CNC ported 044's. I also would run no bigger than dual 40mm carbs. |

You can use your Weber 44's on the motor you are building. Just choke them down a little bit and they will work great. That's all you have to do. Save your old chokes (venturis) incase you want to build a big motor soem day you can switch them back. |
