1915 C35 cam 044 big valve heads with a weber side draft carb. Has a type 3 turbo running 15 PSI of boost. Is 8 psi of fuel pressure to much? I just bought this buggy and I want to make sure the set up is done rite. It currently runs great with the Holley red fuel pump. Thanks in advance

most of your idf or ida carbs only need 3lbs now if you was running a holly carb 7lb .......more press don't mean more vol.

Side draft webers will only take about 1.5-2 psi at idle. You really need a boost referenced regulator that brings the fuel pressure up as boost rises. Also,if you plan on running 15psi boost all the time you need to run race gas.

Its a 40 DCOE side draft. Just want to know what fuel pressure I should run for the turbo setup?

I'm running 7 psi with electric pump now but from what I read it should be 4 psi. Anyone verify that?

From my Porsche days, Aaron got it right, you will need something to raise your fuel pressure as you are increasing RPM. http://www.bellengineering.net/product_ ... cts_id=473 (Begi 2025)

However I am not sure if this is the best system for an aircooled engine, Worked great on my supercharged V8 Porsche pushing close to 500 hp, 180 mph was fun and still had another 20 mph left :)

Thanks Aruba1. That car sounds like it was sweet. From what I gather I don't need a boost controlled fuel system on my ac. Seems to run good with the current 7 psi fuel pressure so I'm going to leave it alone. I'm a big fan of.... If its not broke don't fix it lol. Thanks again for the help.

Car had a nice exhaust sound too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua4fvLlxQ2o

Have you considered installing an air/fuel gauge to monitor if you are running too lean/rich? Well, its a rail but still.
