With 4 thou. Endplay motor won't turn over you can move flywheel back and fourth about half inch and its a solid hit both way. With 7 thou. It turns over. Any ideas ? Never ran into this before |

Sounds like the crank is hitting something. I have seen stock stroke counterweight cranks hit at the center main web. |

just a thought. If it is too tite then the thrust bearing is so tite against the flywheel that tha bearing is actually moving inside the block. But the dowel peg is the only thing stopping the flywheel now. A 1/16 of an inch at the peg could mean a 1/2 at the flywheel. So put it on 10 and be safe. but 1st of all is your dist. drive shaft held down by the dist? |
