Looking at a holley FP with a adjustable pressure regulator... 0-51 lbs... just wondering what you guys run. I have a 2180 with 40 mm dual empi carbs all match ported and polished to my CB perf. CNC heads... 9.6.1 comp. Not sure what all you need to know... thanks |

I run a stock pump. and have ran these before without any issues. the ebay thing is just to show you the pump you can get them at local parts stores. http://www.ebay.com/itm/low-pressure-el ... 03&vxp=mtr |

This pump works great, Gerotor style they seem more reliable than the solenoid style and have a built in regulator..http://www.amazon.com/Carter-P60430-Ele ... B000BZX920 |

I agree with Rick on the fuel pump. Make sure you stay between 2 and 2.5 lbs of pressure the solex carbs are not designed for high pressure. If you haven't already it is good to put an extension to the fuel bowl vent using a rubber hose up the air filter mount to keep fuel from spilling out on rough terrain. |

thanks guys, I saw the same one on the CB Perf. web site... going to get it... but off ebay... its 64.00 on CP Perf. or 29 on ebay... Carter P60504 Universal Electric Fuel Pump 2-4 PSI 30GPH Inlet/Outlet 5/16" I don't have a mech. FP and use a block off... I have never started this motor... plan to get it running by spring. Any reasons why I should not order the ebay pump? or is there a better choice? I noticed the one posted was pt# P60430... higher PSI guessing EFI motor? Red.. these are not solex carbs.. I don't know why I said Kadrons... There : 40 mm dual empi carbs (all reworked by brothers Mach.)... Some one recommended these guys... http://aeromotiveinc.com/ |

Well that's different, I didn't want to question you but I was wondering how you would use Kadrons on that size engine. You will be fine with 3 lbs of pressure. I have never run the empi carbs always ran Dells. |

Thanks... I will order the P60504 then... Yeah these carbs were not my first choice... Which is why I had them re worked... But I still may have trouble dialing them in... Will see... Don't know till I get to where I am at least trying to start it... Big fan of the Del's had the baby ones as well as the 44,s I think in the past... Also had the webbers.. Another pain to tune... Been a while for me... So should be interesting... I am finding myself learning things all over agn... On a good note.... Tubing and my rebel wire harness came in today More on that later this week... Thanks agn folks for helping a guy out... |
