Any idea what cam and compression your gonna run? What carbs? Also how much rpm do you plan to turn this engine. Personally for a woods motor I would use a set of the CB Super Pro heads. They have alot better port velocity to help with low end torque and are still capable of producing 200HP with the right combo.

Im just throwing this out there....My personal preference is SuperFlow heads with the small valves, VZ25 cam...because out of all the cams available it has a (wider) power range than most cams,44 on the carbs and 1 1/2" for the exhaust,D.U.I. ignition,10.1 on the compression. Building power is one thing, just be sure to spread it out or your not going to have it somewhere along the trail.

the buggy in the video also runs a vz15 cam with dual dellorto 45s... his buggy easily turns 6500 and then some..

Ported S/E or 044 super pro Will make more TQ then the wedge ports or S/F . For cam I like the FK 43 with 1.4 rockers or W120 and 1.25 With the 10 to 1 and 45 carbes

im with hyde and aaron on the heads, super pro or street eliminators would be my suggestion with either 42 x 37.5 or 44 x 37.5 valves, also i think you can call and get either one upgraded to the vw650 springs and titanium retainers when ordering them, its cheaper that way than having to upgrade those components a year or so later. the pro gas heads come with these upgrades but the flow rates/port work is a little different than the super pro heads

Are you running ratio rockers with that cam? If you are,and plan to keep that cam combo,do yourself a favor and get the VW650 spring upgrade. There is no way that a standard dual spring can control the valve at 6500 RPM. My personal opinion is you should scrap that cam and put in something more suitable for a BIG engine with a nice set of heads.

With those heads I would use an Engle FK-7 or an FK-43. Both with at least 1.4 rockers. The FK-7 will be easier on the valvetrain but may give up a little torque compared to the FK-43.

X2 I like the fk 42 or 43 over the fk7 for TQ and HP . I have seen 190 TQ on the dyno with a Fk 43 at 4000 rpm in a 2387
