My buddy has a 2180 110 eagle cam has run fine for years now all of sudden the intake is getting hot exhaust is fire hot all within few second of starting it. It is also losing power |

check the valves and the advance in the distributer. Its prolly gunna be one of the two. Maybe even and intake leak causing a lean mixture. |

I am no expert, but I am thinking valves to, maybe a stuck or burnt valves.. Good luck and let us know what u find.. |

Do a compression check. That will confirm a valve issue. After that check for the infamous Air Leak. |

Did you do a compression check and a leak test prior to pulling them? Results? |

I had the same issue after a complete rebuild of a 1915. Come to fine out it was a simple air leak around my intake boots. But a compression check will definately answer the valve question. |
