Check firing order, timing, valve setting and after that start looking for intake leaks for air.sounds like its out of time.is the heads all you changed? Chad |

I bought a set of mofoco heads a while back and put them on my 2386. When I tried to start it it would crank but made a popping sound and blew smoke out from the cylinder tins. I took the heads off and noticed that the area where the cylinder seats against the head was cut in to the cooling fins. I put head gaskets in and helped but still leaked bad. I would do a compression test to and maybe a leak down test just to see if you have the same problem I had. When I called them to find out what to do to fix the problem they told me all their head that was cut for 94mm was like that and they never leak, i went with a CB head and fixed the problem after nearly having to get a plane ticket and go to mofocos shop in person to get my money back. They gave me a huge run around about it was builders error. good luck with your motor and maybe your not having the problem I had. |
