Ok 1915- c25 cam, 041 heads, dual 40's. What would be best to go with? I dont exactly understand the 1.25/ 1.4 . Been reading a lot of old posts, someone before suggested 1.4 rockers with my setup.

SCAT C25 Type 1 Camshaft, 1.1 or 1.25 Rockers, 20004 is designed for 1.1-1.25 rockers, and it's specs are .332" Cam Lift, .365"/1.1 Rockers and .415"/1.25s, 272 degrees of advertised duration, and 234 degrees of duration at .050", on a 108 Lobe Center.
SCAT camshafts have been around seemingly FOREVER, but there is a reason for that (their grinds work well!). While not as State Of The Art as a Web-Cam or a newer FK Series Engle, these are great for the enthusiast that has to watch his pennies!

This cam is similar to the Engle W100 grind, it will work great even with the stock carburetor, but it also shines with dual 1bbl carbs, or a single 2bbl. Don't let the specs mislead you, this has faster ramps than the C20 cam, requiring HD Single Springs and Bolt On Rocker Shafts, and will work with 1.1 or 1.25 rockers! This is also compatible with stock Single Port or Dual Port Heads, and it works best with Compression from 7.5-8:1. Power band is from off-idle to 4000.

Blah blah blah blah blah.....SO 1.25 it is i guess? lol

I would go with the 1.25s, Im not sure that your heads will be able to handle 1.4s. You have to watch for coil bind when running ratio rockers, so pay close attention to the springs when the valve is completely open and make sure the coils are not collapsed together. 8)

Negative on the dual springs. What im gathering from all of this, is basically If im going to do the rockers It would be best to pull the heads and rebuild them, and start fresh knowing all the details. Which brings me to ask this question. WOuld i be better off to find a set of 044's and do the rockers then?

with the cc's your running yes you would do better with 044's with 42x37.5 valves or an old set of outlaw heads with valve spring upgrades 40x35.5 ported a little & they will handle the 1:25's just fine , the 1:4's is a bit much for a c25 in the woods , jmo.
