whats the best way to get the collector off without destroying an other wise perfectly good pipe? ive got the 2 front pipes out but have done everything i can think of to get the 2 back pipes out with no success |

Is it then nuts or bolts that are stuck , if so try to put heat on then and then melt candle wax or bees wax into the thread side your trying to get out . It is a great little trick that normally works ! Hope it works and good luck . Jason |

A little bit of heat and lots of wiggling . tapping around it with a hammer . it worked for me. |

Can you twist them anyway.maybe take a long bolt or all thread and put in the spring holes and screw it out.Chad |

Ever get these apart? Looked at mine today on the single seater and they are made like yours,believe you can make you a tool to take these apart fairly easy.Chad |

yeah finally got them apart with a lot of silikroil, propane torch, 2ft. pry bar, vise, rubber hammer, elbow grease, and a LOT of sweat and choice words lol |

clean everything up real good and coat the tubes with hi temp nickel anti sieze before you re-assemble. Also on the u bend,you can buy mandrel bends from jegs or summit.Just get the flange and weld it together. |

Antiseize wont work. The exaust gets so hot that it will just burn off. Go to advance auto parts and they sale a small exaust pipe expanding tool. Use it on you collector and your problems will be solved. I use one on every exaust i install and they always come right off no matter how long they are on. |
