What would be the optimum octane rating for a 2387 with 11: 1 compression ?

110 race gas. Anything less and you risk detanation.

Ody is correct. 108 to 110 octane fuel will work just fine. If you really want to get technical find your dynamic compression ratio along with the static and this will also help in your selection of fuel. Read this. It help me in building motors. http://www.empirenet.com/pkelley2/DynamicCR.html Now in the high octane fuel you have to consider whether to go with a leaded or unleaded fuel.
